Englewood Community Hospital is proud to celebrate the healthcare professionals during the month of May, with National Nurses Week, National Hospital Week and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week. This is an opportunity for us to celebrate the men and women who support the health of our community day in and day out. The dedication and compassionate care they provide to our patients, is undoubtedly the most selfless act one can give.

Nurses Week

Caring for our patients and creating unforgettable caring moments truly does require everyone to come together. During Nurses Week (May 6-12) 2015, we recognized a few role models who exemplify qualities that are above and beyond. These individuals were chosen by their peers - Professional Practice Award, Nursing Team Member, Ancillary Clinician Practice Award, and Support Staff Practice Award. We also recognized all of our nurses with advanced certification or had advanced their education with a special luncheon.

Hospital Week

During Hospital Week (May 10-16) 2015 at Englewood Community Hospital, each and every individual was recognized for the importance their role plays. The dedicated individuals that make a difference in our patients' care every day include: physicians, nurses, therapists, food service workers, volunteers, administrators, and many more. Each day the hospital staff was provided a fun, engaging activity - everything from a special meal, ice cream truck appearance, omelet station, dessert competition and more! The staff was also gifted a Tervis(R) Tumbler Water Bottle with hospital's new mission statement and 30th anniversary celebration logo.

EMS Week

To celebrate EMS throughout our community, Englewood Community Hospital invited Sarasota & Charlotte County EMS to a BBQ cookout May 19-21. This was a great opportunity to thank those individuals for the work that they do all year long. #EMS Strong

At Englewood Community Hospital, the patient is our primary focus and the entire staff strives to provide the highest quality of care regardless of the need or service. Whether you are visiting us as an outpatient, through the Emergency Department, or as a direct admission please know that our highly trained staff is here to serve you. We are proud that we can make a difference each day!
